How we read a day

Five layers.
Zero guesswork.

No AI fortune-telling here. Every date is scored with the same rules a temple almanac-keeper would use, and every reason is shown to you.

  1. 一

    The almanac's verdict

    Every day in the Tong Shu (通勝) lists what it favors (宜) and what it forbids (忌). If it forbids your occasion, the day is out.

  2. 二

    Yellow or Black Path

    Twelve day-spirits rotate through the calendar. Six walk the auspicious Yellow Path (黄道); six the Black.

  3. 三

    The Day Officer

    The twelve officers (建除十二神) set the tone of a day, from Success (成) and Open (开) to Destruction (破).

  4. 四

    Your family's signs

    A day whose animal clashes with the bride, the groom or the host is ruled out, however good it looks otherwise.

  5. 五

    Vietnamese custom

    Optionally layer on Tam Nương, Nguyệt Kỵ, the Dương Công days and Kim Lâu, as a Vietnamese grandmother would.
